Today, we were treated to a wet felt workshop. W used the Great Barrier Reef to inspire our pieces and created some wonderful under the sea wet felt creations. We were really pleased with how they turned out.

This afternoon we had an Indian dancing workshop. The children had such fun and learned some great moves, they all did so well. 

Today we had our first session of Cricket with Danny from Fylde Coast Cricket. We had such a great time and the children learned some new skills.

Yesterday we had our spelling bee and all children did extremely well. The words were tricky and it was fierce competition. We had 12 finalists today who all did amazingly! It was an extremely close competition. Well done to everyone.

The Primary School Commonwealth baton arrived at school at 1.45 on 23rd May. It had been on a journey taking in many schools on the way. The runners from Clifton passed over the baton to 3 of our Year Six pupils. As the Clifton pupils and staff  arrived, they were given a typical Heyhouses…

Ten children from Year Four went to AKS this morning for a Multisport event.

They participated in games of handball, foot-rounders and also practiced their standing long jump and vortex howler skills. 

The children represented Heyhouses perfectly and we are VERY proud of them. 

Reception thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Blackpool Zoo. There were lots of different animals to see and the sea lions put on a fantastic show. A few pesky seagulls tried to steal our packed lunches but it didn't spoil our wonderful day!
