Bee PowerPoints
As part of our ICT unit we have been learning how to make PowerPoints. We used our English notes on bees to help us create a PowerPoint all about bees. Today we showed the rest of our class our PowerPoints and which transitions and animations we had chosen.
Keeping cool in the heatwave
Today, Mrs Croston brought in 2 little paddling pools for us to have some water play and keep cool. First we tried making paper boats. Then we had a raft building competition using multi link cubes. We all had some very innovative ideas!

Monster Kickabout Beech
This week, we are taking part in Monster Kickabout. Monster Kickabout is a nationwide Primary School football initiative from Sports Direct and Nike, created to encourage more kids to take up football.
BEEch class Bee assembly
The children performed their bee assembly yesterday and I was extremely proud of them. They have worked so hard and couldn’t have done it better. Thank you to parents for helping the children learn their lines so well. Well done Beech Class!
Wonderful wet felt
Today, we were treated to a wet felt workshop. W used the Great Barrier Reef to inspire our pieces and created some wonderful under the sea wet felt creations. We were really pleased with how they turned out.

Cricket
Today we had our first session of Cricket with Danny from Fylde Coast Cricket. We had such a great time and the children learned some new skills.
Beech spelling Bee winners
Yesterday we had our spelling bee and all children did extremely well. The words were tricky and it was fierce competition. We had 12 finalists today who all did amazingly! It was an extremely close competition. Well done to everyone.
